UPDATE TUV300 T8 AMT

Postby Pratap » 12 Feb 2017, 14:59

Guy's, M&M is replacing the whole gearbox on my vehicle and I've got email, phone call from them. Moreover the same is confirmed by their authorised dealer, expecting my vehicle to be ready within next 8 days. Meanwhile got an upgrade from Bolero to XUV500 and expecting this replacement tomorrow.
bottom line : will the jerks, sudden loss of power will cease by installing new gearbox?. ..finger crossed

I have heard from the dealer that now all new vehicles are coming with improved and bug free gear box. All old buggy gearboxes are being recalled and replaced.

Hi Aditya, there's no issue with manual transmission vehicle be it mHawk80 or 100 and I'm hoping that once the new AMT gearbox is replaced on my vehicle T8 AMT mHavoc80 it'll be fine. Congratulations to you it's a good choice and you'll enjoy it. I pray that no one should get tanked by the tank as I got. It's true that teething problems will always be there for atleast a year or two for any new launch.....if you remember Boeing 787 Dreamliner launch with Qatar Airways.

Thanks Pratap. I'll post pictures of my dual tone tank once I get it.

Hi All,
Completed 1000+ KM on my new Blue tank TUV300 T8 AMT. Its a Jan17 model.

So far no major issue but few observations
1. Jerks while up/down shift is little annoying
2. Sometime the engine doesn't start at first attempt. Even though it shown 'N' on dashboard and breaks are applied. But 2nd time it starts with no issue. This happens mostly in the morning when vehicle is rested overnight.
3. Sudden loss of power for few seconds especially during the morning start
4. Once AMT light flashed(photo attached) on the dashboard during my long drive. It disappeared after i rested it for few minute

5. I feel breaks are not proportionally applied according to speed(not sure of this yet, will do more experiment)

Despite all this issues/niggles, i am enjoying it thoroughly. I still perceive it as worth buying.

This sign is of Gear Box Malfunction I had this issue very first Day when I got my Tank. They said it's a clutch Control issue. They rectify it in couple of Hours.
